What is Financial Aid?
Financial aid is federal, state and/or private funding that helps bridge the gap between the college costs you and your family can afford and the total cost of a college education. There are two primary sources of financial aid for LSB students: the federal government, and the state of Pennsylvania. Students are encouraged to research and apply for additional funding and scholarships from various outside organizations and foundations.
This gap - also called Financial Need - is determined for each student through a federal formula. This formula calculates a student’s Federal Expected Family Contribution (EFC). The EFC number represents how much the federal government anticipates the family can contribute annually to the student’s education. The EFC is an important indicator of a student’s need. However, it is not necessarily equal to his or her out-of-pocket costs for attending school. The EFC is the calculated result of the information you supply on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The formula for awarding financial aid is as follows:
Cost of Attendance - your EFC = your Financial Need
This Financial Need figure is the amount that LSB will assist future students to apply for and fund, as best as possible, through the available financial aid programs we participate in. There will be some cases when student financial assistance cannot meet 100% of a student's financial need.
If you wish to take one of the certification tests, you must notify Donna Romano three weeks before the payment deadline.

North Wales, PA - Lansdale School of Business, a private, accredited institution, held an official ribbon cutting ceremony at their new 32,000 square foot Main Campus at 290 Wissahickon Avenue in North Wales, PA. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony provided an opportunity for local dignitaries and local contractors, that were involved in the project, to tour the newly completed campus. The tour featured LSB's new academic resource center, student café, the new “Spa at LSB”, plus an overview of the classrooms that host the many programs that LSB offers.
I was interested in LSB because it was a small school with flexible schedules so I could tend to my family's needs. I am soon to graduate and just completed my externship at a Dermatologist's office where I have accepted a position as a Medical Assistant. I am so happy with what I learned at LSB, and though it was challenging, it was well worth it.Read More »
LSB provides a well-rounded program with diversity in the courses offered. I've been introduced to many areas within the Legal field that I'll encounter when job searching. The Instructors offer excellent expertise and use their own personal industry examples to help students learn. A mock trial in Criminal Law class allowed students to participate in a trial officiated by a Professional Judge. It's been a life changing experience and has opened my eyes to a different world of learning and an understanding of the need for Community legal aid.Read More »
